Getting the best out of the living-alone experience: Time management

It’s very intriguing to set on your bed and watch movies on your phone all night and on the weekends. Especially, when you don’t have that much of a responsibility (other than yourself of course!)…

With that being said, this time you spend away from your family (if you have any) alone is too precious to be wasted! Just imagine that you have all of this time for you and you only; whether you’re in college, work a full-time job, own a business, are a researcher, or are a freelancer, you have at least 5 hours/ day + the weekends; just for you!

From thousands of wasted hours both procrastinating and wasting valuable time, I’ve found that the best way to manage my time is to have dedication, consistency, and a routine (a specific structure that I repeat every single day).

Having a clear goal/objective for a certain period of time gives you clarity and pushes you to take that extra step out of the comfort of your bedroom. The small steps you do every day at the same time in a structured organized manner are called dedication. With dedication, there is no place for time waste.

Real talk:

Why would you want to use those extra hours in the first place? What is that one thing you need to accomplish (that you’ve been holding off for a while now)? Decide what it is. Break it down into small pieces and Go!
